MEETING SCHEDULE CHANGE:
This meeting was originally scheduled for March 12, 2018, but had to be postponed due to multiple schedule conflicts.
An afternoon meeting which allows staff from partnering organizations attending during the regular work day. General members and the public are also encouraged to attend. Meeting will be a Cole Canoe Base in Alger. Drive all the way back to the lodge / meeting facility.
Join us for the 2018 Annual Meeting of the Rifle River Restoration Committee at Cole Canoe Base in Alger, MI. We'll be setting the direction of our organization for 2018, including finalizing our plan of work, electing new Directors and discussing many things related to the Rifle River.
Volunteers needed for a Streambank Stabilization project. Huron Pines is working with the Ann Arbor and William B Mershon Chapters of Trout Unlimited to complete streambank stabilization work on the East Branch Au Gres River on Saturday, August 26. Help clean up the beautiful Rifle River by joining this annual cleanup event hosted by the Rifle River Restoration Committee. The goal is to clean the Rifle River from M-55 down to Melita Road in Sterling, MI. The river will be broken up into segments to be cleaned by participating volunteers. Meet at River View Campground & Canoe Livery at 9am, then you'll be transported to your assigned stretch.
